IP&E GBA Limited (IP&E) embraces its social responsibility and is dedicated to extending compassionate care to all members of the community, inspiring positivity. In partnership with the Hong Kong Children & Youth Services Jockey Club Tai Po Children & Youth Integrated Services Centre, the IP&E team and a group of parent-child volunteer ambassadors ventured to the orchard, where they harvested fresh fruits and vegetables. They then personally delivered this produce to elderly individuals living alone, with the aim of conveying a heartfelt message of care and concern.
On the day of the event, the IP&E team and a group of parent-child volunteer ambassadors traveled to the Yuen Long. The young volunteers personally harvested an abundance of fresh fruits and vegetables, gaining firsthand appreciation for the challenges of farming and the value of nourishing food. Immediately thereafter, the group visited elderly residents living alone in Kwong Fuk Estate, Tai Po. Beyond simply delivering the fresh produce, the volunteers engaged the seniors in captivating conversations about their daily lives, thereby providing warmth, care, and companionship.
Through this community engagement initiative, a group of young volunteers gained practical insights into agricultural practices, while also taking the chance to engage with and support elderly residents living alone. This intergenerational interaction not only fostered greater understanding between the generations, but also spread an uplifting sense of compassion throughout the community. Moving forward, IP&E remains committed to collaborating with social welfare organizations to deliver care and inspiration to people of all backgrounds.
